I had always wanted to do it...but I was shaking, a little. & I was silly; I didn't leave myself enough time. I skipped breakfast. I was going to walk to pick the kids up from school. Seriously silly. The next time it was easy. By the 3rd time, I was bored. Saving a life is a cinch when you're not scared. I thought maybe I could go in for the longer donation with the platelets or whatever it is...but, I'd need a book. My husband always goes with me now so it's really not so scary.
Leaves Leaves
2021-12-16 21:07 - 0 CommentsThe trees make the best patterns with their leaves. And then the kids, longingly, watch them through their car windows as they pass by. They imagine how big a leaf pile that many leaves could make. And the workmen & women, with their face masks and their heavy blowers 'clean up' the walkway and neaten the park with the sharp buuuuzzzzzz in the mourning aire, while the businessperson walks past, smelling the crisp tang of fall and gasoline and fried electric circuits. Blah. No fun.
