Open Sesame
2021-12-03 10:39 - 0 CommentsHave it ever occurred to you, while opening an automatic door by pushing a button, that you are very lazy? Everyday this lazy behavior ends up in thousands of people pushing buttons to open electric doors. Instead we made it funny to open these doors manually. When pushing the door manually, and saving energy, you get a crowd cheering from the loudspeaker installed on top of the door. Afterwards, while leaving the door, you'll feel aroused since the crowd has cheered you up. Perhaps you got some exercise as well. Submitted by Joakim & Tomas.
Stop-Show: The Stop Sign Light Show
2021-11-30 16:57 - 0 CommentsToo many of us don't come to a complete stop at stop-signed intersections. You do it. I do it. But what if there was some visual feedback to encourage people to come to a complete stop? I propose 'Stop-Show', a system which used electronics to detect a full stop and then rewards the driver with a fun light show on the stop sign. The 'light show' would serve two key purposes... (1) Indicating / confirming that a full stop has been achieved, and (2) providing the driver with a little bit of entertainment, encouraging them to be a little more consistent with their safe-driving practices.
Thermochromic Hand Dryer
2021-11-30 16:48 - 0 CommentsThe thermo chromic hand dryer is a simple and fun way to indirectly increase participation in hand washing via adding an element of fun at the secondary stage – hand drying. Adding thermochromic paint to the metal parts, most notably the directional nozzle, will induce a visible and spectacular colour change as hot air comes into contact with the metal upon a user activating the hand dryer. The engaging effect is similar to that produced by thermocolour t-shirts and thermochromic mugs.
Waiting at the checkout
2021-11-30 16:44 - 0 CommentsThis is for the checkouts in large (or medium, even small and mini) supermarkets. The dividers on the transport belt are put in a gully by the cassier. This is at the end of the transport belt, But the dividers tradionaly are needed at the beginning. By giving the diveders a sound of people enjoying a ride (little child on bicycle, people in rollercoaster) people will be stimulated to slide the divider to the beginning of the transport belt.
Reflect on your choices
2021-11-30 16:36 - 0 CommentsShall I take the stairs or the elevator? Whether we are in a private building or multilevel parking or underground station, we tend to be lazy... The idea is simple: replacing the traditional mirrors inside the elevators with distortion ‘fattening’ mirrors.

Can you fit in the bus?
2021-11-30 16:14 - 0 CommentsA simple, inexpensive and direct idea to make people more active during ‘dead’ times. Think of all the wasted time you spend commuting, stuck in traffic, buses and trains... Springs can be replacing handles or hang together with them, also they could be attached to the bus walls and will be accompanied by fun messages that invite people to try them out. You could also use special strenght-measurer handles, (already existing in the market), to make it more fun!

I bet you can't
2021-11-30 16:05 - 0 CommentsA “I bet you can’t “ campaign to spread over the most different issues, such as doing more exercise but also taking care of the environment. Fun is game, game is challenge. People are much more intrigued and motivated if they are ‘teased’. Messages can be displayed on car hangers, stickers, sidewalk signs, public toilets, etc.
Bubbling Traffic Lights
2021-11-30 15:16 - 0 CommentsUsually people are always impatient and in a hurry. When they have to wait for the traffic lights to change in the corner,.. well at times they don't do it at all, and if there are no cars nearby, they cross the street, sometimes not even trough the crosswalk. Also cars sometimes don't stop before the crosswalk, blocking the way to people. So the idea is to make the pedestrians wait for the traffic light to turn to red, to make them walk over the crosswalk, and to encourage cars to not stop over the crosswalk.

Plastic Bags Recycler
2021-11-30 14:59 - 0 CommentsThe machine will take any kind (and color) of plastic bags. It will compress them towards the walls of a transparent bin tube. the bin will also be in various shapes (animals, cars, trees etc) There will be a whole line of shapes for the bins, so that in each location it will be different and new! When enough plastic bags are thrown inside, a colorful statue will be created.

Julie Lee
2021-11-30 14:37 - 0 CommentsMany people read comics rather than reading dictionaries.. However, dictionary has more useful informations. So if we make the dictionary that is talking when we filp the page,or touching the book, than many people will rather read dictionary than comics. Submitted by Mom.
Study Games
2021-11-30 14:16 - 0 CommentsMany young adults spend a lot of their time playing video games. What if you could actually learna by achieving objectives in games? Instead of only earning points you could also grow in knowledge. The video game industry in general should focus on games being more of a learning platform than a solely entertainment platform. The software should be developed by the gaming console companies and should be entirely open-source, in terms of content that could be incorporated into the games.

Gotcha - Overspeeding Device
2021-11-30 14:04 - 0 CommentsImagine every car you see on road is fitted with a little device I would like to name “Gotcha”!! This is like a black box which is hidden away in every car (will be good fun trying to find it!) . “Gotcha” is nothing more than a combination of receiver and sender unit with inbuilt GPS. The receiver unit of “Gotcha” receives a signal from a tower (similar to mobile network tower) which constantly sends road speed and location data to all vehicles in its range.

Computer Airbag
2021-11-30 13:53 - 0 CommentsIt often happens when you are working on your computer that it suddently crashes. This is pretty frustrating, isn't it? You would like to punch your computer or throw it away... this would relieve you of your frustration. From now on, with the computer airbag you can actually do it. Feel more relaxed, relieve your rage against your machines! :)

Musical Doors
2021-11-30 13:50 - 0 CommentsThe notion behind this design is to make revolving doors fun to use, as they are far more environmentally friendly than the widely used automatic sliding doors. Revolving doors are not just environmentally friendly because they can be powered manually as opposed to automatically; they also offer excellent protection against draughts and heat loss due to the nature of their design. In this design, the central core of the revolving door is attached to the drive shaft of a traditional music box. The music box is mechanical and therefore requires no external electricity to power it.
Better Car Horns
2021-11-30 13:35 - 0 CommentsPeople use their car horns for all sorts of messages: Celebrating after a sports match, telling a friend "I'm here" when sitting outside his house, saying "Thank you" to another driver who has let you drive first over a one-lane bridge or saying "Good bye" to family as they wave to you. Yet in every case, we use the same, purposefully-dissonant sound to express each message. This results in both noise pollution and ambiguity. I propose that we add a second horn to each new car and truck sold: A horn that is euphonious, not dissonant, one that plays a major third or major fifth.

Piano Crosswalk
2021-11-30 12:31 - 0 CommentsAs a method of deterring jaywalking (crossing the street out of the crosswalk), make the crosswalk like a piano (similar to the staircase already done). To make it so people don't stay in the crosswalk, make it stop working when the light changes to "DON'T WALK" and start working again for the next cycle. This should make people want to cross the street in the right place at the right time. Hopefully people can continue to cross streets safely to decrease the number of people that get hit by cars.

Emotional collective calendar
2021-11-30 12:24 - 0 CommentsWe have created a kind of "emotional collective calendar", where anybody can "stop" a minute of his life and last it forever! It's totally free: link to the website www.stopyourtime.com , register to it, and stop every minute you want, adding photos, videos, mp3s. You can also gift a minute to somebody you love, your friends, your relatives, your parents. It's a costless project and we realized people's dream: last time forever! Speaking Bin
2021-11-30 12:11 - 0 CommentsYou throw your garbage in a bin and you hear a voice coming from inside: -Thank you and have a nice day. or some sounds like pig is eating your garbage. But people would get more surprised if two bins can make a real conversation. Can you imagine two bins in a short distance. Suddenly a voice coming from inside: -This town is full of nice people only today this is the 50th man coming tome. And there is a voice from the other bin: -Don't be show off my friend only for last hour I collect more garbage than you.
