Hidden Pictures on Window Insulation

Remember those kits with double-sided tape and clear plastic sheeting that you put over your window and tighten with a hair dryer? They're a great way to save energy and keep your house warm in the winter -- but they're such a hassle that it's easy to get halfway through the winter before getting around to them.

To make it more fun, what if the plastic sheets came with hidden pictures? They could be printed in heat-sensitive ink that only shows for a short time when you use the hair dryer. Kids could look forward each year to covering the windows with holiday pictures like reindeer or candy canes. Insulating the windows would become a yearly tradition rather than a yearly chore.
