Windcar

2021-12-16 08:51 - 0 Comments

It's simple, you add a windmill to the top of the car. Which is connected to the motor and to the battery. All you have to do is is start up the car like normal with fuel, then once you get going, the windmill spins and provides energy for the motor. The battery of the car can charge up and last the car for 10-20 minutes without the windmill spinning, so you can keep power at stoplights etc. The windmill car isn't about not using fuel for cars. It's about using less fuel (only for start-up and back-up energy).

You just need to find the the right way to exit for your battery as soon as possible. A record of the least time will be shown on the top. Through this amazing Battery Maze, people would like to collect used batteries spontaneously. Submitted by Golden Guo

Magnet Driven Car

2021-12-16 09:00 - 0 Comments

Think of the future, think of magnet driven cars. These cars use no petrol/gas whatsoever. They use a - and a + charge of a kind. Paving the roads with a magnetically force (aka magnets or magnetic liquid), they will have a - charge on the car. The car will have the same looks, but it has its wheels replaced by huge magnet blocks, like a box. On the car it will have - charge while the road will have a + charge, the car can be driven in the same way but in a hovering motion. Now the moving mechanism is a simple task.

Shopping List Bag

The problem to be solved: people always getting new plastic bags, thus creating more waste.
The solution: The main reason why you have to get a bag at the store is because you didn’t think of bringing one before. If you write your shopping list on a bag (with a magna doodle’ish device), you’re more likely to take it with you when you go shopping.

Bus Stop Travelator

2021-12-16 09:03 - 0 Comments

Waiting in line at bus stops could be a breeze. With the travelator, one doesn't have to wait agitatedly for the person in front to get into the bus. Moreover, there won't be any rude pushings. This travelator has a coordinated foot sensor start/stop control system, just like the conveyor belt at the supermarket cashier's. This way, people won't tumble over each other. A bus stop travelator will save time and encourage politeness by queuing up at the bus stop. Submitted by Jenn.

Handy Work

Hand washing – The Germ Killer. Current Problem: Not enough people wash their hands in public restrooms, or they merely use water and no soap.
Purpose: To create awareness of proper hand washing techniques while also alerting those around of the overwhelming issue of people not washing their hands—or merely drenching them in water. Solution: Create an interactive ‘motion sensor’ game that allows the general public to 1) wash their hands correctly and 2) compete with others that have also washed their hands in this facility.

Battery Beast

Approximately 35 billion batteries are used throughout the world each year and despite efforts to encourage consumers to recycle rechargeable batteries, about 179,000 tons of battery waste ends up in US landfills alone. Because batteries in municipal landfills and trash incinerators can disperse significant amounts of heavy metals and other toxic substances into the air and water, battery waste prevention and recycling strategies are essential. Welcome the Battery Beast a friendly, battery-eating monster who makes safe battery disposal and recycling FUN.

The Bubble Machine

2021-12-16 09:18 - 0 Comments

The bubble machine would connect to the rear of the bicycle and physically tie in to the pedal gear near the front. A short tube on the back controls the air flow and allows the bubbles to exit from its end, again a visual similarity to the way exhaust leaves the back end of a car.
The bubbles are the opposite of peoples perception of exhaust. Instead of polluting the air, the bubbles appear to clean it. This becomes a visual pun on the idea of riding a bicycle as being a cleaner mode of transportation.

Joking traffic light

It‘s dangerous to walk when traffic light turns red but some people do. The idea was to stop people walking as soon as the traffic light turns red. So I invented the idea that the red traffic light is going to tell funny jokes to keep people waiting until it‘s green. So they are enjoying the stay and there is no more danger anymore.

Public Water

2021-12-16 09:30 - 0 Comments

The Solution & Design Concept
The redesigned public waterspout is free filtered tap water and easy to use. The spout is covered so there is no way one can touch the area where the water is dispensed to prevent the chance of contamination. To cut out even more germs, there is a “say when” mechanism that releases the water. Inside of the aqueduct inspired design is a filtering system connected to standard tap water pipes. The filtering system will be changed routinely by local state employees to guarentee freshness and quality.

Solution to a Dirty Problem

ICK, germs! They can make you sick. Very sick! Germs (viruses and bacteria in this case) cause respiratory and stomach ailments ranging from drippy noses and mild sore throats to life threatening illnesses such as diarrhea, flu and pneumonia. We spread germs quickly, mostly by touching our nose, eyes, mouth and other people. If people would thoroughly wash their hands for twenty seconds every time they use a public restroom, the number of those illnesses could be greatly reduced. Who says?

Speed limit competition

Nobody likes speed limits but if we make it fun drivers will look forward to do not exceed it. HOW?

We can see radars on the street to show us our speed. But mostly there is nothing more.
If we do a speed competition drivers will have a fun.
Speed radar will measure your actual speed and compare speeds of cars before you.
CAr which will drive as close as possible to speed limit will be placed better that others. But if you overcome speed limit you will be disqualified.

Example:
Imagine actual speed limit is 35km/h

Cars before you were driving :
1, 32,5km/h
2, 31,4km/h

The Karaoke bus

2021-12-16 09:36 - 0 Comments

Can you make more people use the public transport? What if a bus would have an interactive karaoke system? This bus would know how many people would be inside it and would light or make a sound either on the seat or on the handle where a person would be located. This would mean that it the person would be the one to sing. Screens would be located in different places in side the bus. This could be an attraction to make more people leave their cars at home and at the same time arrive work with a smile!

Wouldn't be cool to see magic bins down the street where you can throw your litter and at the same time having fun by asking them questions? "Will I be ever be a famous actor?", "Is Mary in love with me?" etc. Everytime you throw a litter in the bin, its force enables a small gear to spin which eventually makes the screen of the bin show the answer of your question!
