PeTaPe = Pedometer + Tamagotchi Pet

A tamagotchi pet children keep alive by walking a set number of steps per day. Every n*(1,000 ) steps feeds it. Every y* (1000) steps keeps it happy, etc. Essentially, the PeTePe's emotional/"physical" state will be determined by the number of steps taken by the child during the day. One long walk or run could feed it for days, while sedentary behavior would "starve" it. Children can compare their PeTePe's or challenge one another like traditional tamagotchi pets. The PeTePe is a great way of getting kids to be more active: walk to school, run during recess, etc. while giving them fun/materialistic value. Inskickad av Gaurab Chakrabarti.
