The Trash Gnome

2021-11-07 21:56 - 0 Comments

What happens when you throw something in the trash? Well, a small gnome stores it underground, that's what happens. In a long trashcan with a monitor on top, deposited trash first falls to a platform with a blue-screen where pictures from several angles are taken and a 3d model of the trashed object is then built and inserted into a 3D animation where a gnome/monster stores the trash carefully. further interaction could be acomplished by enabling reaction from the gnome to sound or movement.

Fun fruit

2021-11-07 21:21 - 0 Comments

Can you get humans to eat healthier food through fun?
It’s always more fun to open colorful packages with loud writing, cool logos and slogans. How can a piece of fruit in the super market ever compete with a candy bar? It can’t! SO….
Imagine lush and colorful shrink-wrappers over bananas, apples and mandarin oranges. Put them right next to the candies, which in the USA are typically in the checkout line to entice last minute impulse buys by children. Guilt and fun I believe will

Treadmill Racing Track

2021-11-07 21:09 - 0 Comments

Treadmills and exercise bikes at the gym are a great way for people to work out regardless of the conditions outside. The problem is that they're boring and monotonous, and there's no incentive to push yourself (unlike running outside, when there's always someone to try to catch up to). The solution: Treadmill Racing. Network a series of treadmills and exercise bikes so that each one knows how

Portable Trash Mini Golf

2021-11-07 21:02 - 0 Comments

After big events a trash mini golf tournament takes place. A golf course is made with markers or existing obstacles. Specially designed trash cans (windmill, mouths of famous people...) are placed. Everybody who wants can play and so clean the place. It's fun and good for the environment.

Happy Waiting

2021-11-07 20:51 - 0 Comments

I'm waiting in line and getting bored with nothing to do and I don't dare to small talk to the people around me. The line is very long at the postoffice/ bank/ waitingroom/ hospital/ busstop ... and the clock is ticking very slowly. Waiting on my turn seems to take forever.

I - and all the people around me - like to take pictures with their cellphones on holidays, special occasions or just for no special reason. We can upload these to a local network connected to a video-projector that is showing the pictures very big on the wall.

Talking Crosswalks

2021-11-04 14:12 - 0 Comments

This is a simple but very sensible idea. Not only does it incorporate visuals but cross walks will now include sound to make them safer for people with impaired vision. When the button is pressed the speakers greet simply "You have activated the crosswalk" then following could be local weather, or simple facts about life that are updated from time to time. Ending it would say "It is now safe to cross. Thank you for your patience".
This would not only keep people from jaywalking and endangering other motorists, but also give them some knowledge. Submitted by Trevor C. J. Ruff

Fun Tram Tickets

2021-11-04 13:57 - 0 Comments

This is my idea to use positive reinforcement to encourage people to buy tickets when they travel on public transport. The idea is that through buying a tram ticket and having it stamped onboard, you get the chance to enter an instant win lottery. A pretty fun way to reward people for buying a ticket.

People put used paper into a container. The paper is shredded and the resulting confetti is pulled out into the container with a ventilator. It all looks like huge snow globe in the end.

Mint Me - Book Return

2021-11-02 16:57 - 0 Comments

The idea is simple: When you return a book to the library you get a sweet mint. It’s a fun pat on the back for reading a book and returning it. Children would be enthused by a little gesture like this and it would encourage them to read more. Adults would enjoy a smile and a chuckle. The actual machine would just be a dispenser attached to the book return slot. When a book is returned a button is triggered and lights up for 5 seconds - You can then press the button and it dispenses a sweet mint.

Plate Jukebox

2021-11-02 16:42 - 0 Comments

Normally, in a cafeteria people tend to leave their finished plates on the table. It makes the cafe look messy and no one would like to use that dirty table. We want to change their behavior. Take care of your plate and leave the clean table behind. Just wipe off your plate, then use it as a token to play your favorite song on our "Plate Jukebox".

Musical Bikes

A bike that every time you paddle it sounds with harmonious music. Nowadays a lot of people use cars which produce carbon dioxide. People would chose to ride their bikes instead, enjoying a nice tune while saving the planet. An exercise bike with this function would help people take off some pounds of weight while having a nice time.

Purpose: To get people to use far away parking spots and get more exercise.
Idea: Posts signs that are solar digital at the farther parking spots. When a person parks there, they receive a "fortune" for the day. Kind of like a fortune cookie. Fun and easy!

"I get around" is a line of books and encouragement for kids age 0-8 (and their adults). The components encourage physical activity, connection with the outdoors, awareness, and open-ended creativity through having FUN in everyday life, on special trips, and in our imaginations. Quote from book: "I get around and have fun--how about you?" All items are created to take along wherever, and however, you get around.

WHAT'S NEW is fun way to help people remember things and improve their memory. It works equally well for kids or older people or families. The principal of the game is extremely simple: All you have to do is recognize the last thing added to a picture. For a demonstration, please visit: http://igamebank.com/cust/wn/whatsnew15fp3.htm

Workout Games

2021-11-02 10:48 - 0 Comments

There are vast amounts of games, and lots of different styles that people enjoy. Often bars will have a touchscreen with a variety of entertainment. All of them have a challenge, and with these challenges, I feel people can become extremely motivated to workout... or to them "get to the next level of the game." You see this effect constantly, when people who refuse to run for exercise, will run twice as much when playing a sport. Sports are the primal proof and exercise games are the perfect way to take this hard-wired healthy exercise to the next level.

Song Dryer

2022-10-27 16:01 - 0 Comments

In bathrooms, many people don't like using the hot hand dryers vs. the alternative paper towel. There has to be a way to make those more fun. Perhaps instead of just hearing air blow out of the thing, maybe music instead, and not just the same song over and over. Use different songs that many people will like. They might actually use the dryer longer so they can finish the song, thus drying their hands effectively.

Hand Washing Art

2022-10-27 15:00 - 0 Comments

What problem to solve? It's a problem that people don't wash their hands. After meeting friends, after a toilet visit or just after a day in the city. Unwashed hands can make you or the people you know sick, but that's easy to change. If we make washing hands fun, at hospitals or in public toilets, hopefully more people will start doing it. My idea is that we put a camera in the wash sink, faced towards you. When you start washing your hands, blur colours will appear in the mirror, following your hands move and you will be able to make art. That's my way of having fun.

Balanced stairways

2022-10-27 14:39 - 0 Comments

The idea consists in using gravity to make an escalator without using electrical energy.
It can be used in a place where people want to go up and down, like the entrance of a subway.
We concentrate people that want to go down in a platform, then the people that want to go up stay in another platform .

These platforms are connected by pulleys in order to guarantee that the weight of people wanting to go down will generate enough potential energy to move the platform with people that want to go up.

The balance can be upheld by cords, that people can pull to control the movement.

Connect Four Beer Crate

2022-10-27 13:43 - 0 Comments

Millions of bottles of beer are consumed around the world every year. The bottles are often recycled, but what about the metal beer tops? The idea here is to build a game of connect four into the side of the beer crate. The bottle tops can be used as the counters to the game and returned with the empty bottles.
