Fun Fish - Water Conservation
2021-12-15 19:57 - 0 CommentsWater conservation is tricky. Signs and shocking statistics seem to do little to change behavior. Enter FUN. Imagine a virtual fish tank behind the water faucet. The water level is connected to how much water is being used. If you leave the water running while brushing your teeth or lathering your hands, the water level lowers. You need to be smart about how much water you use so you leave water for the fish to live. The water slowly refills as the faucet is off.

Funstainable Floor Electrogenerator
2021-12-15 19:55 - 0 CommentsBased on the theories of Coulomb summarizing:
"when a magnetic field is cut by a conductive material a displacement of electrons takes place"
Our checked project is to place self-adhesive imams in the soles of the shoes,
When these shoe-imams move on the tiles that contains the reels, electricity flows are generated
that will be added to other tiles, through simple electronic reducers of voltage and current it will store this energy in batteries.
Who is it?
2021-12-15 19:55 - 0 CommentsHow can we get children to wash their hands after using the toilet? We involve them into a quiz: When they push the soap dispenser they hear the question "Who is it?" Then, when they turn on the water for washing their hands they will here the typically sound of an animal. (The animal sound changes each time, so that they do not automatically know the answer) After washing the hands for 30 seconds they will get the answer (the name of the animal). If they wash their hands too short they do not get the answer.
Speed limit competition
2021-12-15 19:51 - 0 CommentsNobody likes speed limits, but if we make it fun, drivers will try to do not overcome the limit. HOW?
There are radars on the street showing you actual speed you are driving. Your speed will be memorized and compared with other speeds memorized before you. All this information will be ranked from the one most closest to speed limit down to slowest one. If you overcome the limit you are disqualified. But if your speed is closest to the max. allowed speed your ranking will be displayed on the screen over the street.
Example:
speed limit 50km/h
there are cars before you driving the speed:
Just Cycle It
2021-12-15 19:50 - 0 CommentsCycle in the city is a good thing! We intend to promote the use of bikes in the city. More bikes mean fewer cars in the streets and a more beautiful city. The way to promote the use of bikes is simple! The local administration gives the bikers an odometer. The bikers who are moving in the city, augment the kilometres in the odometer. When the bikers want, comes back to the local administration and shows the kilometres they made. The local administration gives some gifts to the bikers such as services, tax deductions, theater tickets etc. In relation to the kilometres they made.

2021-12-15 19:48 - 0 CommentsPublic transport gathers different sort of people, however it could be also a tool of socializing and building community just by speaking. Reserved seats for Chatting will be the place where random people could meet, speak, exchange ideas and opinions, and so on. Also is a new and completely free way to entertain the travellers by having a conversation. Those seats act as an icebreaker itself. These idea could be applied to any kind of public transport like trains, underground, buses, plains,,, or even public spaces like malls, pubs, hospitals, squares... Think about it!

Archimedes Spiral Bike
2021-12-15 19:40 - 0 CommentsIn the era when the energy of fossil oil will be less available, alternative sources are sought. The idea is to use the potential energy of the Archimedes spiral spring to run an individual transport means (like bicycle). The transport mean will use exchangeable cassettes containing a wound Archimedes spiral. The spiral will be wound with a winding device, which would enable winding during exercising at home, or while driving downhill, or when breaking, or manual winding etc. The fun part is that we do not rely on fossil energy.

Airport Security Carnival
2021-12-15 19:39 - 0 CommentsAirport Security Carnival
Can Fun Help us Catch Terrorists? Or at least help us survive airport security with our dignity and our sanity?
I fly all the time and realize that Airport security is a necessary evil. But would it be asking too much from the TSA to make it ever slightly more enjoyable? Instead of making everyone feel like a suspected terrorist, how about making people feel like honored VIPs who are getting special treatment?
If there was ever a universally hated activity that needed to be made more enjoyable, it’s the airport security line. How could we make it more fun?

2021-12-15 19:35 - 0 CommentsHow many war's are currently being fought in the world? What is humaitarian law? How can I make a difference to victims of War?

Save Water Over-Head
2021-12-15 19:34 - 0 CommentsConsistently communicate creatively simple & short water conservation messages'. Put up illustrations on water conservation on the ceiling of the hair-washing cubicle. When patrons/clients are reclining on the chair to get their hair washed, the illustration will be right in their vision. The sound and feel of the water on the head and the message above will engage the various senses of the person to make a sub-conscious impact. In those 3+ minutes of hair wash, the person will have 2 options – close eyes or see a beautiful & often funny illustration.
Bullseye Bathroom
2021-12-15 19:28 - 0 CommentsCould it be that men are not concentrating enough that is the reason behind disgusting men's rooms all over the world? Hopefully, the placement of a target in the toilet bowl can speak to men's competitive side and make aiming carefully a little bit more fun!

Fighting Germs with Fun
2021-12-15 18:44 - 0 CommentsOne of the most common ways that illnesses such as flu are spread is through the germs on our hands. Hand sanitization is therefore a simple way to help prevent transmission of illness. Universities and restaurants in our area have installed hand sanitizers to help encourage hand cleaning, but few people actually use them. As a result, illnesses can rapidly spread across university campuses. We decided to apply the Fun Theory to this problem by testing whether we could get more people to sanitize their hands by making it fun.
Useful Bus Stop
2021-12-15 18:44 - 0 CommentsIt is known that waiting at the bus stops for people becomes boring. In most cases, people spend this precious time in vain.

Crosswalk Trivia Game
2021-12-15 18:39 - 0 CommentsWe all seem to be in a rush, especially in busy metropolitan areas. In all aspects of this modern life, the temptation to cut corners and take shortcuts is too great. Pedestrians place themselves at great risk when they fail to use crosswalks just to shave a few seconds from their journeys.
Since 1975, over 180,000 pedestrians have been killed in motor vehicle accidents in the United States. The majority of pedestrian accidents occur at locations other than intersections. Jaywalking can be deadly.*

Mind Your Engines!
2021-12-15 18:33 - 0 CommentsIn time for Copenhagen, CO2 Emissions and Global Warming are flamboyant topics of our century and will, sooner or later, demand our commitment. While it is difficult to reach global agreements of a big scale, it is easy to contribute individually by changing our behavior - and act as role models and messengers to policy makers. Street traffic accounts for around 20% of global CO2 emissions. Yet, a significant share of these emissions is generated while not moving at all, e.g. in front of red lights or traffic jams. In other words, it is completely wasted.
Sing'n'Clean
2021-12-15 18:31 - 0 CommentsHow to make vacuum cleaning fun?
Everyone loves karaoke, SingStar and other fun singing games.
The Sing'n'Clean gadget for your vacuum cleaner is a game, where you can sing karaoke and score points while you are cleaning. The lyrics display is placed on the "head" of the vacuum cleaner, for you to read and sing them while focusing on cleaning.
A censor is registrating the ammount of dirt you collect and how well you clean the house. Points for cleaning and points for singing are added up, so you get a final Sing'n'Clean score.
Hand Wash Through Distorted Mirror
2021-12-15 18:29 - 0 CommentsI chose the problem that some people don't wash their hands after using the toilet. It's unnecessary to say, that this is unhealthy, distgusting and can cause many diseases. So I asked myself "Can we get more people to wash their hands by making it fun to do?!" I tried this by installing a motion detector inside the washbasin which recognizes the movements of your hands and sends the information to the camera of the distorting mirror. So your movements were realised in severel distortions, which you can see in the mirror.
