The Bubble Machine

2021-12-16 09:18 - 0 Comments

The bubble machine would connect to the rear of the bicycle and physically tie in to the pedal gear near the front. A short tube on the back controls the air flow and allows the bubbles to exit from its end, again a visual similarity to the way exhaust leaves the back end of a car.
The bubbles are the opposite of peoples perception of exhaust. Instead of polluting the air, the bubbles appear to clean it. This becomes a visual pun on the idea of riding a bicycle as being a cleaner mode of transportation.

Solution to a Dirty Problem

2021-12-16 09:35 - 0 Comments

ICK, germs! They can make you sick. Very sick! Germs (viruses and bacteria in this case) cause respiratory and stomach ailments ranging from drippy noses and mild sore throats to life threatening illnesses such as diarrhea, flu and pneumonia. We spread germs quickly, mostly by touching our nose, eyes, mouth and other people. If people would thoroughly wash their hands for twenty seconds every time they use a public restroom, the number of those illnesses could be greatly reduced. Who says?

Can crasher

2021-12-16 15:53 - 0 Comments

What is the matter? We would like people to recycle their cans. But how? The can crasher combines two things: the first one is a trash. When a can is put in, it follows a funny path and lands on a platform. The second thing is a punching device. Smash it with your hand hard enough to reach the top. If you do so, the bell rings and a heavy metal piece falls down and crashes your can! It can then be recycled. If you are not strong enough to make the bell rings, ask a friend or a man who is passing by! Everyone can take his chance to crash the cans!

As the city centers nowadays are bustling with heavy traffic and the unbearable omnipresence of the automobile our proposal is to create an hibryd of a bus and a carousel (and could be a taxi, subway or ANY another mass transit) to attract more people to use public transports. Fun meets daily life in a new form of transportation of thousand smiles. Submitted by Rafael Vieira

You Can Have My Seat

2021-11-19 16:21 - 0 Comments

Problem:
Almost everywhere around the world, people tend to compete to get a seat in public transports.
Fun Solution:
To provide a few of Screen MP3, Radio or Video players (with internet connection), hanging on buses’ or train walls, attached together with a headset on each player. It’s placed quite high, so people need to stand up to use the device. In that way, standing will look more pleasing than sitting.

Moving is fun!

2021-12-16 17:45 - 0 Comments

Moving because it's fun, not because you have to. The idea is to make billboards and posters in the city or at the office with an activity on there. Moving is fun! are tasks/activitites you can preform during your daily routine. While outside or at work. The tasks are very simple and don't cost you a lot of extra time. You don't need extra material, just use the surroundings of the city or the office. For example: when you walk in the city walk only on the white stripes of a zebracrossing.

Many men use public urinals but are either mindless and splash everywhere or do not know where to aim. The whole idea for this entry is to give them a fun and interesting reason to be mindful in how they use urinals while inducing the proper behaviour. Users will consciously try to fill up the urinal as much as possible because they want to see how much they pee. The target is placed so that the urine hits it at an angle to minimize splashing (usually an obtuse angle works best).

Chewing Gum Wall Art

2021-12-16 16:05 - 0 Comments

Instead of putting chewing gum here and there people can be encouraged to stick it within a certain pattern on the walls to create graffiti, mural or any other kind of wall art. Someone needs to start the process by perhaps drawing an outline on the wall and sticking the first few pieces. People will stick chewing gum of different shapes, sizes and colors creating exciting and unpredictable results. People can ignore the outlines also to create an evolving art form, growing and changing with every new contributor. Submitted by Prithu Paul

The Musical Sink

Can we encourage cleanliness with a simple bit of fun?
Our idea makes hand-washing fun! Stepping on a pressure pad in front of the sink starts the bass and drums, turning the tap adds another layer of music, and pressing the soaps adds the final layer of music.

The Vending Machine Project

2021-12-04 09:40 - 0 Comments

Our entry is a sweets vending machine that teaches social responsibility. It gives you the choice of how much you pay. The amount you pay doesn't affect the amount of sweets you get, but the amount of sweets the next people will get. The change is small but cumulative. If people are selfish and pay less money, at the end of the day the machine will be dispensing a very small amount of sweets. If people work for the greater good, at the end of the day they'll be getting lots of sweets for their money. Inskickad av Euan Mils.

Democracy is participation.
Participation is the active engagement of an individual within his community.
Individuals like to engage in things that are fun... Why not make democracy more fun?

Who is it?

2021-12-15 19:55 - 0 Comments

How can we get children to wash their hands after using the toilet? We involve them into a quiz: When they push the soap dispenser they hear the question "Who is it?" Then, when they turn on the water for washing their hands they will here the typically sound of an animal. (The animal sound changes each time, so that they do not automatically know the answer) After washing the hands for 30 seconds they will get the answer (the name of the animal). If they wash their hands too short they do not get the answer.

This idea will hopefully make donating to charity more fun for everyday people. It is a game board, like "Plinko", for donating
coins for charity. It is interactive and makes the small donations feel valued.

Throwing away dead batteries is really polluting the environment. In my country there are places to dispose of them but these are often camouflaged by advertising, making them difficult to find. Why not create advertising that emphasizes the message and encourages the use of these containers? Submitted by Martin Hernandez Toyos.

Piano Crosswalk

2021-11-30 12:31 - 0 Comments

As a method of deterring jaywalking (crossing the street out of the crosswalk), make the crosswalk like a piano (similar to the staircase already done). To make it so people don't stay in the crosswalk, make it stop working when the light changes to "DON'T WALK" and start working again for the next cycle. This should make people want to cross the street in the right place at the right time. Hopefully people can continue to cross streets safely to decrease the number of people that get hit by cars.

Lucky Dog Poop Bin

2021-12-15 20:01 - 0 Comments

Let’s make it fun to scoop dog poop! “Lucky Dog” will be a dog-shaped garbage bin that when used will bark at the user and issue a fortune cookie dog treat with the dog’s fortune for the day. Lucky Dog fortunes could include “You will be receiving a treat in the near future. Lucky Dog!” and “Dog-butt ahead. Lucky Dog!” A bag dispenser could be a source of income or simply free to encourage pick-ups. Since dog walks happen near meal times, restaurants could advertise on the bin or cookie wrapper. They could say something like “Congratulations!

The disposal of cigarette butts is a major problem in our cities. Can fun make more people dispose of their butts? It's simple and fun. When a cigarette butt is disposed in the bin; the dragon in the glass dome on the top of the bin breathes out a small, fiery flame! A simple and fun way to promote proper disposal of cigarette butts.

Giving Made Fun

What if giving money for a good cause was made fun? We propose the ‘Giving Made Fun’ campaign. We propose using parking meters and placing them in busy walking streets. The parking meter will have a sign on it saying ‘Giving Made Fun – funds raised will support Charity XYZ.’ The parking meters will be retrofitted in order to take coins as well as notes. When someone inserts a coin and twists the dial, the parking meter will start playing funky disco music, simultaneously performers will start dancing to the beat.
