The Canteen Game

‘Social Networking’ is increasingly becoming an important topic for companies (schools, universities, and other institutions), and many employers are already spending a lot of money on time-consuming concepts and expensive networking events.

A fun solution to this problem is the 'Canteen Game' (for company canteens, school cafeterias, etc.) – a combination of a game and a networking activity: During lunch time, every canteen guest needs to take a number ticket at the cash desk. On this ticket, there is a table and seat number indicated where that person needs to sit down. All persons at one particular table have a small fun task indicated on the back of the ticket which needs to be performed before starting to eat. Examples for task types could be: “Movie Quotes”, “Quiz Show” and many others.

With this “ice breaker” function, the guests will have it easier to get into contact with each other, discover similar interests, or simply have a blast during lunch time.
